Night Life If you require something a little more lively, take a trip into Barrow town centre. There are numerous pubs around the town hall area and later on, you can visit the famous 'Gaza Strip' around Cornwallis Street, with it's many nightclubs ( WARNING: This can get a bit rowdy, hence the nickname!! ). NB: There is a ship permanently docked near to the Morrison supermarket called the Princess Selandia which has some restaurants and a new night club called "The Blue Lagoon". Shops The village of Leece has no shops, but nearby Barrow has everything you would ever need. The town has the biggest retail centre in the South Lakes area, including a choice of supermarkets e.g. Tesco, Morrison, Asda. (Tesco is open 24 hours Monday to Saturday!) |
